Approval stamp of the national police to stay in the exclusion area
- wood, rubber
- around 1988
- height: 7.5 cm
This stamp was used by the national police to grant authorisation for a permanent stay in a district within the exclusion area. With the creation of the border exclusion area in 1952 the national police registered all residents in this zone. Journeys into the exclusion area for the purpose of visits or work required approval. Residents with a permanent domicile in the exclusion area received an entry in their identity card. The police reviewed the approval at regular intervals in order to either extend or withdraw it.
