Walter Kramer, the Ribnitz goldsmith, manufactured from 1932 the sought-after “Fischland ornaments” in his ever-expanding workshop. The motifs for his products came from the maritime world (ships, starfish, fish etc.) and were enhanced with genuine amber. Cutlery, plates, bowls and other ornaments with the “fish motifs” were quickly added. In Lübeck-Travemünde he extended his range of cutlery and table items with “Fischland motifs.”
