Model of a Zeesboot
- amber
- Ribnitz-Damgarten
- around 1980
- height: 55 cm
The “Zeesboot” is a typical fishing boat used on bodden and Baltic Sea waters close to land. The model made of amber is a work from Horst Froese (1921-1997), an amber turner who trained in Danzig. He worked for the nationally-owned enterprise Ostseeschmuck Ribnitz-Damgarten and was often commissioned to produce representative gifts from amber.
