“Peekschlitten”
- first half of 20th century
- wood with iron runners
- length: 36.0 cm
“Peekschlitten” were small, particularly flat ice sledges, and were sometimes just about big enough to stand on with both feet. Yet they could also be up to 50 or 60 cm long. The sledge was driven by pushing the “Peik,” a wooden pole with an iron tip, backwards through the rider’s legs.
