Statuette of Helmuth von Moltke
- Adolf Lehnert
- around 1901
- bronze
- height: 37 cm
Helmuth von Moltke was born on 26th October 1800 in Parchim. During his military career he rose to the position of field marshal general and played a major role in the victory of the German troops in the war against France in 1870/71. His home town created a memorial in his honour in 1876 while he was still alive. The house where he was born is now a museum. The statuette has similarities with the monument in Krefeld created by Wilhelm Albermann that no longer exists.
